FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
The event takes place in Swede Hollow Park, which is tucked away between 7th St E and Payne Avenue on the East Side of Saint Paul.
We recommend entering the park from the Drewry Tunnel. This is the location where all directed paths and carts will be taking visitors to Art In The Hollow. At the top of that entrance you will also find a some of our participating artists, The East Side Art Council Art Mobile, The St. Paul Public Library as well as food trucks.
You can also enter from the Upper Swede Hollow Park and take the 100+ step stairway through the forest (It’s beautiful and unique way to enter, but a treacherous hike back).
The East Heritage Park will gain you access through the north end of the park. It’s a beautiful walk through nature and worthy of its length.
To enter the park from the south side, you can gain access at the intersection of Payne Avenue and 7th Street East, otherwise known as the Bruce Vento Regional Trail.
Each of these entrances have some parking, but it is limited. Overall, we still recommend parking at large lot next to the old Hamm Brewery and taking advantage of the designated path or the golf cart shuttles to and from Art In The Hollow
While street parking is free and available, it can be sparse and unreliable. Your best bet would be to park at the large lot next to the old Hamm Brewery and either walk or take advantage of our golf carts to and from the hollow.
While you’re there you can visit some of the artist booths we’ve located in that area, grab a brew or a Swede Hollow Inspired cocktail at the St. Paul Brewery, and then enjoy the Story Stroll presented by The St. Paul Public Library on the way.
New this year! We have a few golf carts that will be offering rides for guests going to and from Art In The Hollow. Big shout out to The St. Paul Brewery for providing these.
If you don’t mind the walk, we’ll have a path clearly marked out with signs as well as the St. Paul Public Library’s Story Stroll for your enjoyment.
